Canadian employers always complain about the shortage of skilled workers, and they are always looking for the qualified individuals. Therefore, the Federal Government established the federal skilled workers program as a mean for permanent settlement in Canada but the applicant has to be assessed according to the following factors:
- Education (25) points
- Work experience (15) points
- Language ability (28) points
- Age (12) points
- Arranged employment in Canada (10) points
- Adaptability (10) points
The total number is 100. The applicant has to score 67 points in order to be admitted to the program.
The express entry procedures will speed up the process of three federal programs:
- Federal skilled worker program (FSWP)
- Federal skilled trade program (FSTP)
- Canadian experience class (CEC)
Terms for getting into the pool of candidates:
- Proof of language proficiency CLB 7 in all four skills
- Canadian secondary or post – secondary degree or a completed foreign credential and An Educational Credential Assessment
- 1 continuous year of full-time paid work experience within the last 10 years in a NOC 0, A, B occupation.
- Score a minimum of 67 out of 100 points of the six selection factors.
